Mistakes happen

 Hey guys!

A couple weeks ago I did a full detail on an Acadia and had an issue with it I’ll mention more after. It is a customer that has been loyal to us since the beginning which made the mistake that much worse.

She brought her car in for a full detail so I got to work on it, started with the dog hair filled trunk followed by the rest of the carpet throughout. She has really nice z71 chev floor mats that keep her carpets decently clean! My secret to getting the floor mats super clean and shiny is starting with the pressure washer followed by foam cannon and using some elbow grease with a coarse brush. Once you get the, hanging to dry grab some tire foam and spray away! Once they are dry they look amazing and no further action needed, they dry to perfection!

Once I was done with the interior I moved it outside for an exterior wash, it had started getting dark so I wanted to get it done fairly quick so I still had some daylight. I used my usual brush and pails to wash along with the pressure washer and foam cannon. I started by foaming the entire car, but what I made the mistake with was I should have prewashed it by spraying the first layer of foam off along with the dirt built up on it but I didn’t. I started with my brush and washed down the entire car and sprayed it off and called it good. The next morning I was at work and received a picture message about the Acadia being scratched all over so I offered to do some paint correction on it for free because obviously it was my mistake.

That Friday night I picked the car up from the customers house and got to work in the shop. I started on it around 9 and finished around 2 am. I used my chemicalguys buffer and foam pads with the McGuires compound cutting polish and did the entire vehicle, some places I needed to go over it twice. Once I was satisfied with my results I applied a wax coating for protection and kicked it out the door. The customer was very pleased with the speed of the issue being resolved as well as the outcome of her vehicle.

They are getting married this year so we supplied them with a gift certificate for the raffle to make some funds for their big day! We are so happy for them congrats guys!

Dabbling with some paint work

 Hey everyone!

This past week we took on a project of fixing some paint on a rear bumper of a white Ford Edge. Boy was that a chore! I don’t think I will be taking on any more paint jobs like that, we had a real hard time blending the old paint with the new. It didn’t help that it is a metallic paint color.

We started with a interior detail moving from that we started on the rear bumper. Our customer is a return customer and very loyal so we decided to give painting a try, he recently had his F150 ceramic coated with us along with paint correction and interior detailing.

I finished up the paint this morning with buffing the over spray off in spots it didn’t need to be. Looks pretty good considering it was our first time playing with paint.

Detailing them cars!

 Hey everyone!

We have been super busy in the shop, detailing away and even doing some small paint touch ups! I figured we would be in a bit of a slump being after Christmas holidays but business seems to be steady. We are looking at setting up our own online shop where you can order some of your favourite car cleaning supplies and air fresheners! Some merch as well!

We are heading on vacation at the end of the month on our first cruise! It’s leaving fort loterdale for 4 days!

Our trailer was stolen!

 Hey everyone!

Been a while!

It's been a busy year so far to say the least! In march i was renting out our new enclosed trailer, the fella we bought it from asked to rent it so why not! Turns out he just wanted to steal it back from us, he hooked onto it and loaded up and moved to Vancouver island!

After doing some digging on facebook we were able to track it down. He left us with a picture of his drivers license along with his truck information. His new boss from Duncan B.C ending up calling me to let me know he had just hired him the week before.

One morning I woke up to a picture of it sitting in the guys driveway, within the hour I had the RCMP there to confiscate it! Now we had it delivered to my cousins house in Vernon B.C awaiting the shipping company to pick it up to bring it home. It left here March 14th and still isn't back yet which is really annoying!

Slow season

 Hey everyone,

I hope everyone is having a good winter so far! We are still doing a few cars a week here in the shop and getting booked up for the spring. We have been busy building up our youtube channel and our tik tok channel as well.

This week we will be taking the big carpet cleaner to an apartment to do some carpet shampooing, a cleaning company reached out to us asking if we can do residential properties so we are giving it a go!

Short and sweet this week!

Hustlin

 Hey everyone!

Rough time of the year but we are punching through it! Been taking the extra time to catch up on some sleep and have been working hard on the social media. I have discovered a new podcast that I have really been enjoying listening to named Gary Vee. If you haven’t heard of him you should check him out!

Anyway I’ve been taking some of his advice and ramped up my social media presence. 3 posts minimum a day. Pretty tough when I don’t clean 3 different vehicles in a day lol. There are a lot of photos in my library that I haven’t turned into videos sk I have started with that. Currently we are focusing on video editing so we can make some asmr videos and things like that. Everyone enjoys those cleaning videos where you can’t get your eyes away from the screen and seem to get locked into a daze lol.

Checking with some suppliers right now considering opening up a online store as well, with some different tools and pressure washers and that sort of thing to go along with the detailing business. Awesome part with that is I can make video ads myself of us using the products we are trying to sell. Definitely going to be an amazing year!

Slowing down for the winter

Hey everyone!

Its that time of year again, everyone is recuperating from Christmas vacation! I am sure it will only be slow for a few weeks then everyone will be wanting to get those rides shined up for the spring! With this slow time I will be focusing on our presence on social media platforms as well as our other business we are building.

I haven't mentioned our other business on here just yet but Nicole and I have been hard at work trying to get to that financial freedom we have been searching for! This next business is sure to be the one to get us there along with this detailing. Come spring time when it picks up we will be searching for our own space and I will be looking to hire someone full time to run the detailing. Might be hard to find but if we are able to offer a good hourly rate or a pay per vehicle type of salary we should be able to find someone to take it over for us.

For those of you struggling to keep going please just keep your head held high and push through the tough times! Tough times are what make you who you are and makes you as strong as you are. If you are in Canada please remember F*** Trude*u will always be the best saying you will remember.
